Is there anyone on here who drew one of the five Cleman Mountain (Sheep Unit 7) Any Ram tags for Sept-Oct?

I'd love to talk to you about your hunt, the area, and sheep you saw.  Much appreciated

Unfortunately the cycle of Pneumonia will continue.  If you want to get a biologist fired up start talking Sheep with them.

It really isn't all that surprising. Those sheep like to travel a lot. Farthest west I've seen them was between milk creek and little naches right above the highway.

I'm guessing by your name that you're in the Naches area.  Have you been seeing sheep lately, since the Pneumonia confirmation in the last couple of weeks?  Given pressure from deer and elk hunters I'm wondering what areas the sheep have been traveling in this week.

I haven't spent much time watching the sheep as I moved out of state in early 2018 and am only back for a weekend every few months.

Geauxtiger do you have a tag?
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Yes Jackalope - due to the pneumonia and expected die-off over the next two years, WDFW is calling an emergency hunt to give more opportunity rather than just accept the potential loss.  I'll be hunting within the week.

If I would've drawn back in June I would've spent plenty of time researching and scouting, but the way this just happened I had no advance notice to scout so I'm trying to gather as much information as I can as quickly as possible

Everyone is tight knit these days on allowing access east of the sheep station to people they do not know. If you park across from waterworks and look up waterworks with a spotter, you should see sheep.

How did you guys draw this extra special hunt?  Did the state do a random draw, or pick master hunters??  Good luck, really hate to see this pneumonia BS happen.

They're the next people in line when WDFW did the original Clemans ram draw back in May/June. If you didn't apply for Clemans, you won't be getting a call. If you get the call and accept, that's your OIL tag and you're done.....if you kill.

Yep, that’s what WDFW told me.  They just worked down the list from the original draw.
