We caught 8 steelhead on the Columbia halloween night.  These are the biggest, a 10 and a 13 lber.

the steelhead fishing is probably better on  the east side than it is on the west side anymore.

Great lookin fish...pics are awesome....gosh that is a pretty big steelie.. I am going to oregon in dec. for 2 days of fishing on the nestucca..should be a good time..

Let me rephrase.  I miss the creeks and rivers I used to fish within a few minutes of where I grew up.  It is a drive to the good steelhead waters when you live in Spokane.

i fished the snake 1 time...big intimidating river if you're a green pea like me to that river. next time  i, too, will be heading for the rhonde...
maybe the CW. i'm gonna have to try it one of these days.

I'm due a trip too the Lamiglass factory for some "seconds".  You better believe I'll be planning the trip in July when they're up in the flyfishing only area of the Kalama.  Or if I get desperate, I'l hit Germany Creek in January, then head north to visit a buddy up in Forks.
