Alpine blacktail down
« on: October 25, 2020, 04:40:55 PM »
Went for a long dang walk about yesterday in the alpine and found this guy bedded in the sun. After the shot he rolled over and slid about 1000 feet down the hill on the wildest sled ride ever. Ended up breaking both of the pedacles and half the points off one side. Was glad to get out of the spot he was in after some of the sketchiest “hiking” I’ve ever done. Thankful to God for a year with 2 bears and a deer.

Congrats! That's a great buck. And I hear you on the sketchy hiking ! Solid boots and instep crampons are a solid investment for this time of year.

I wear Scarpa charmoz. What’s this instep crampon you speak of?

Sweet Blacky?

The story is worth the broken Tines,

Ya now looking back I could have looked more but I was more worried about how to get out of where I was than antlers.
