Mt Spokane south bull moose
« on: October 26, 2020, 07:27:38 PM »
Anyone seeing any good bull moose in my Spokane south unit lately? I have a tag and headed over this week. Spent the first 2 weeks there and seen 18 bulls but looking for something bigger.

Well thats home for me.  Moose numbers have been down the last 3 to 4 years in my opinion.  But even when we had moose standing everywhere I never saw a "big bull" like the one that was shot above Republic a few years ago.

If you saw 18 different bulls you’re doing pretty well. That unit is not known for good bulls and that’s why it is easier to draw. I have seen a couple dandies but it’s been a few years. Good luck.

I had the cow tag for the same area this year. I would say you are lucky as hell at seeing so many bulls. We were only in on one during the season. But once again I was after a cow. I did succeed and see a handful of moose. Just mostly cows. Hope your luck stays good seeing them so you don't go home empty handed. My advice is don't be afraid to shoot the first decent sized one. I've heard of people having luck seeing them at the beginning and then disappearing on them in November and going without. Good luck to ya

You're on the right track if you've seen 18  :dunno:
