Guess I need to get a copy of the regs and look into it some more, would be fun hunting in Jan without freezing off the backside.

How far south do you go? far enough you have to start looking for border crossers or stay north of that.

I hunted along the border once about 15 years ago, and saw 100+ illegals on our side of the five strand border fence.  Had one rifling through our cooler at first light one morning.  I think it's better now, but I'm not personally gonna go find out!  That was right on the border, closer to Tucson and north is fine.

Thanks, have a place in Ajo we stay sometimes which is 30ish miles from the border. Need to see if I can find an area or unit somewhere around here that would be good.  Think they are protected right around town from what I have heard.  Will be picking up a copy of the regs for some nighttime reading soon to see what I can figure out.

I had the fortune of being with Fletch on his hunt 25 ago.  We had fun!  That’s a batch of good memories.   I couldn’t make the anniversary hunt with everything going on in life right now.

Taste...yuck!   That might be the only game meat I ever wasted.  As far as I was concerned their meat tastes just like their *censored* smells.  One reason I haven’t pursued hunting them since.  Man that was a fun time though.

Card hits are going today, which reminded me about this thread.  Anybody wind up putting in for javelina?  Looks like my kid and I got drawn - not a surprise, but always nice to get the card hit confirmation.

Anyone have anything good to say about the taste?  They look like a hoot to hunt.

Ive got nothing good to say about the taste...that being said... My credit card took a hit to the AZ fish and Game so I am excited to say it looks like I am going again.  After not being drawn for anything anywhere in 2020 looks like 2021 is starting off better!
