2021 halibut question
« on: November 03, 2020, 07:54:04 AM »
listening to the outdoor line podcast the other day while doing some yard work, heard tom make mention of "an earlier halibut season than years past" this upcoming year.
Anyone have any insight to this comment?

My intel says PROPOSED dates -Puget Sound looking at a April 22nd opener and a May 6th for all other areas.

There are a lot of days on the table this year.

Puget Sound almost never hits its quota, largely due to WDFW opening the season after they have migrated out.

Don't get worked up yet about this.  Come tomorrow, Czar Dimslee will take care of you regarding next spring, just as he did with us this year.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

There is also a push to increase the limit too six fish. Email Heather Hall if you have an opinion.
