That's awesome Johnny, (and Junior) such a thrill to watch the kids progress through the years. I second your comment about "best hunting partner.."; kid and I pulled a double on bucks this year, which was pretty neato. It just gets better!

I commend you (and the rest of the parents doing the same thing) for taking the time to introduce your kid(s) to the outdoors/hunting. It's a short-term sacrifice that pays off 10 fold in the long run for all of us! Over the years I have known quite a few dads who didn't take the time to teach their children the joys of hunting/fishing/camping/hiking. Then suddenly they expect the child to want to have a passion for their same hobby, instead of whatever sport or hobby the child has picked up for entertainment on their own (video games, etc)? As we know, it really doesn't work that way.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.  He is reading them with me and still smiling ear to ear!!!    We dropped his skull off today to be euro mounted.  My son ask if it could be hydro dipped and I said yes.  At the taxidermist he had to pick the design for the hydro dip.  He chose a design with the US flag....I’m really proud of this young man.

Congrats to you both!
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton
