Northern Idaho info whitetail
« on: November 04, 2020, 03:27:01 PM »
Anybody ever hunted up near Kellogg Idaho. Was hoping to take the family to the silver mountain lodge or whatever that lodge is called. I still have a deer tag and was wondering if anyone would point a guy in a direction. Not looking looking for anyones hunting spots just some general info would be great.

Anywhere up there is great whitetail hunting.  Just get off the roads or hunt behind gated roads.  Have fun too!

Thanks I appreciate the response. Turns out the water park at the resort is only open on the weekends so wife was not all that thrilled about my plan. Happy wife happy life I suppose so we opted out of going.

Triple play in Hayden is an option

And is actually way more fun (for the kids of course) then the Silver Mountain Resort. I’m not sure how it is since COVID hit though.

I live just down the street from Triple Play, it seem like they are doing just fine my kiddo was just invited to a birthday party at the water park.

If you in the area and want to get together to hunt message me. I still need to fill my tag too

Yeah probably just gonna eat the tag. It’s cheaper than a divorce. When you are gone 4 1/2 months fishing and only have two months off before next season with 2 kids (one that is 10 months old and you’ve been home for two) I’m ok with eating the tag in Idaho. Again appreciate the pointers might have to throw that one at the wife for the next go around

Probably a smart choice.
People get offended at nothing at all. So, speak your mind and be unapologetic.

It's my conviction that the phrase "Happy life, Happy wife" was coined by a woman, and a not very nice one at that.
Hate to see you eat tag soup, but who hasn't?
After 39 years of marriage to the same gal, I feel your pain.
Next year for sure!!

Haha you’re probably right that an awful woman coined that phrase. Fortunately I don’t have that wife. She enjoys hunting and has not had the opportunity to hunt since we have had kids so just gonna have to pull the throttles back a little bit till the kids are old enough to come with. She’s been eating her tag more than I have lately so I can’t complain.
