Great buck. That's one of those " who cares" bucks. Might not score real high, but clearly a mature head and neat looking rack. All day long shooter on a general for me.  Congratz!

I really don't care about score and think most hunters give to much priority to "score".  If I gave a crap about the score, I would only care about the gross score....how many inches..PERIOD.  The net after deductions....blahhhh, dumb!!

I think that buck would score a spot on my trophy wall if I was the hunter.  Stud buck for sure.

:dunno: on score but nice buck.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. He looks to be heavy with long guards, he’s missing a g4 on his left and it looks small on his right. Beams also look short, I would guess him to gross in the 150s. With all that said I would be absolutely happy with a buck like that on most of my hunts congratulations! I gave up chasing high scoring deer for me if it gets me excited I’m shooting.

B&C awards symmetry, that buck does not have it so the score wouldn't reflect what kind of an animal that buck is, which is a really really good buck in this state on the general tag.  Lots of cool features, I'd mount him on the wall and enjoy looking at him every night.

Upper 150’s low 160’s from the limited pics. Super cool buck with tons of character. Character should garner bonus points on the b&c scale. :chuckle:

My guess would be close to the same.  I wish I knew his spread in inches.  That would help being able to tell a more actual frame size.  Give us his max inside and max outside spread.  That would help a ton.

Thanks everyone else. I also don’t care too much about score but was just curious. And I also feel the pictures don’t do justice to this buck! I’ll post a picture when he’s back from the taxidermy. Probably a Lifetime Wa buck for me Lol

. With a spread like that, I would say the deer is probably mid 160’s and maybe even hitting 170. This is a gross score I’m talking about.  All that really counts in my eyes. Most people that took guesses on this bucks score probably figured a 22 or so outside spread by the pictures given. That is why it is hard to score deer by pictures. But if he is 26 inches wide then you know his main frame is an entire step up from a 22-23 inch frame that a lot of nice 150 inch deer have. That is a nice buck!  Congrats.  In January take his rack to your local sportsman’s show and they usually have someone scoring deer for free. I would love to see his actual score.

Bigger than any deer I've ever killed! Awesome buck. You should take it to a sportsmen show and have it scored like dvolmer stated. It would be very informative to see what the gross/net actually is. I am not hip to any of that and when I heard "deductions" I realized that even further. However, a few times I did get pretty close on judging a friend's trophies. With that said, It looks big and broad. I think 160 give or take.
