Well I burnt a handful of cow points for the late archery hunt and the area we hunt is closed :bash: :bash:

Thats too bad you were planning on hunting that area.  There is still a lot of good area in the unit that remains open.

we've spent the last few seasons there for the late hunt.

D-ROCK. UNLESS SOMETHING CHANGED IN 2 DAYS YOU CAN STILL HUNT THAT SAME AREA.WE CAMPED BBQ FLATS AND WENT UP THAT WAY.THEY ARE GONNA BE LOGGING THIS WINTER IN THERE BUT THE AREA IS STILL OPEN.  :tup:

I read it,all i can say is wow.anything to hinder legal hunters in this state.they are logging this area so protecting wintering elk and the land owner stuff is total crap

when Tima logging starts running the lumber they were cutting during modern elk start running down they will run more elk out thru the damaged fence than any amount of hunters ever will.  :twocents:

They let people hunt the early elk season for one week and then turn in their tag. I think you have a good shot anyways.

The whole unit isn’t closed is it? Why can’t you hunt north of evans? BBQ flats is north of there and still lots of area. Do you get to hunt all of 342?

There is still a lot of area in 342 that will be open. This will be a bonus and will put less pressure on the animals that have moved down.
