Here’s a worthwhile cause:

Volunteers needed to assist with the control of coyotes through targeted hunting on and around sharp-tailed and sage grouse release sites in Lincoln County. Sage grouse are listed as State Threatened and Federal Candidates; sharp-tailed grouse are State Threatened and a Federal Species of Concern.  Sage and sharp-tailed grouse have been released on the Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area and on the adjoining BLM Twin-Lakes area in Lincoln County. Field data has shown that a high percentage of mortalities on these released birds are caused by resident coyotes. In an effort to increase the likelihood of recovery the Department of Fish and Wildlife would like to decrease coyote numbers in the area. Hunters must possess a valid small or big game license. Please inquire at the Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area office where you can sign-in, get local maps, and information regarding areas to hunt and areas to avoid. Please call (509) 636-2344 or stop in at the wildlife area office at 19602 Seven Springs Road, Creston, WA 99117. The web site for the Swanson Lakes Wildlife area with a map and driving directions is at http://wdfw.wa.gov/lands/wildlife_areas/swanson_lakes/ and for the BLM Twin-Lakes area see http://www.bentler.us/eastern-washington/recreation/pdf/twin-lakes-blm.pdf .

Man, you eastside yote hunters are slipping up this year...
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Hmmm Maybe we should transplant some wolves in the area to get the coyotes? JUST KIDDING!  :bdid:  I do believe that hawks, magpies, and maybe owls devastate ALL upland bird populations!

I think I have to agree with that. There are hawks everywhere.
