I think we all just need some more pics of deer period.  We need some of these late bucks to start showin' up and the guys going to MT. to hurry up and get over there and put some pics up.  ;)

BTW.....maybe the kid couldn't get outta school and the Dad couldn't miss work, and they only had the first weekend to hunt and he really wanted his son to get his first buck.  And maybe.....or maybe....who cares really??  Geees!  ;)

Here is a photo of a Chelan County Mod A Tag buck my friend took who my Dad was guiding.  He taped over 30".  Dad new he wouldn't score well, but like he told the young man who had the tag and never shot a buck like this, when asking  if he should take him? If you don't punch your tag this year waiting for record, How many friends will believe you let a 30" buck walk away in Washington State.  Bang!

Nice buck!  I would have dropped him without a second thought.  Wouldn't even of questioned it.  I'm sure others might have waited but I'm a little less patient than most when it comes to that.  Something I need to work on if I'm ever going to get a top class buck.

Well I got my 'guy' tagged out this morning!  Saw a TON of bucks and this was the biggest we'd seen and the 5th 4 point of the morning...  Too great of forks and height to let pass... especially since the guy has only shot blacktails before and this was his first muley hunt... I'm totally psyched!  The pics don't do him justice, I'll get the ones off my phone later that really show what he's got...

I'm guessing a 4 1/2 year old deer... would've been an AWESOME deer imho the next year or after, but he just couldn't let him walk, and I didn't tell him to hold off...  Will be back up there later to help some other people I know out...

Thanks guys... We were seeing around 60 deer and 10-15 bucks a day up there... lots of young deer.  They are rutting HARD as of yesterday and today... not very good weather but the bucks are chasing does most the time.  Just needs the big boys to come down out of the high country...
