Oregon 2021 Regs are up

Always amazes me how Oregon can get their regulations published by November or December, even though their controlled hunt application big game deadline is also in May like Washington's.   The east side of Oregon is now all controlled for archery deer hunts.   But they published enough archery deer tags per eastern unit that many former-OTC-archery-tags may still be won with second choice selections (ie not having to burn a point)....will see how the first few years of applications go.    Didn't realize they were combining some units for those archery tags.   Hoping they don't do that in 2022 when east side elk also go all controlled tags, hoping they leave them as individual units.

How confident are you that eastside elk will go to draw in 2022? I have enough points to draw the unit I want in 2021 so shouldn't be too big of deal for next year but I have always liked having the option of Oregon as a fall back for archery elk.

East side archery elk was also supposed to go controlled tag in 2021, but they pushed that decision to 2022.  Probably will have more meetings on it this year.   I'm assuming they'll indeed make the change for 2022 for elk.   Will be watching to see which units will be feasible to draw as second choice.

I remember them pushing it off and am curious to see what pans out. I am thinking it will go permit myself
