Knight Bighorn Sight Question/Issue?

Guys, I am hoping someone on here can let me know if this is normal. This rifle is brand new this year. I got it when they were having their big sale. Before I shot it, I added the peep sight to the rear. First time out I was 8 inches to the right with the rear peep dead center at 100yds. As you can see in the picture, I have moved the rear sight as far to the left as I can, and it is finally hitting close the center left to right. My other muzzy with a peep sight did not require any left to right adjustment to hit in the center, so this seems strange to me. Has any one else seen this on their muzzy? Is it normal or is there something I need to look into? Thanks

What does the front sight look like?  Is it offset?  Is it canted to the left?

My Bighorn is offset to the right.

The front sight looks centered to me and I see nothing abnormal.  It just seems odd to use up all the adjustment on the sight to get it to shoot correctly.

I have the Williams target sight on mine give way more adjustments. Never had any luck with the ramp style

Get the williams FP Legend and don't look back ! I bought target knobs for mine so adjusting is very easy and in clicks like a scope so you can really fine-tune your setup. Also recommend a globe front sight but some guys aren't that comfortable with that so even a smaller thinner front sight makes a huge difference when you can see your aim point vs covering it up with the thick blade sight usually mounted on them !

I don't remember what the front sight looks like, but will it tap left/right?  Might buy yourself some room with that if so.

No it doesn't, it is fixed in place.
I am going to makes some changes to the front sight after the season is over.  Its consistent right now, so I can hunt with it.  I just was worried something was wrong from the factory.

No it doesn't, it is fixed in place.

While I did not think this was a common problem - it certainly can and does happen.  Normally it will be because the holes for the front sight or the holes on the receiver are not drilled in a straight line with the bore.

This problem can be alleviated by installing a Williams ramp and fiber optic sight.  The ramp mounts to the existing front sight holes and the fiber optic sight is pushed into the dovetail on the ramp.  Reset the peep to near center, then push the fiber optic sight into the dovetail.  Then you can bore site the sights ot near zero by pushing the front sight to different locations in the ramp.



And as mentioned contact Knight and explain to them your problem.  There is a good chance they might be able to help you.

The 3 bighorns that my hunting buddies have are all centered for the rear peep sights.  All are Williams FP peeps.

All my muzzle loaders have always had to have the peep sight heavy to the left side. From t/c, cva and the new 700.

But maybe Carp has a loose nut behind the trigger.  My Elkhorn Pro shoots great with the peep right in the middle
