I see lots of tracks and have had a few near misses over the years, but finally found one of the elusive Chiwawa moose this weekend!

There's a bunch more in Chelan County than people think.  Cool to see.

It's always special seeing a Chelan County moose!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

The elusive Chelan County Bullwinkle!  I have seen them a few times, usually when least expecting it and very rarely have gotten a decent picture.

Is that the same bull that Rainier10 posted pics  of with the crazy elk looking antlers?

Look pretty similar, but I think Rainier's has that tine that goes straight out on the bull's right side, and he looks a little wider.  All the better if they are different bulls, the more the merrier!

Here's another view of that right side on this bull.

Most likely moose. Buddies have seen a few up that way.

Could be either I have had moose, spike elk and cows on my Methow cams.

I've seen quite a few moose tracks in Chiwawa over the years, three different sets in the last month or so.  But only found elk tracks one time about 10 years ago.  Elk tracks were right at the top of Eagle Creek.  Makes me think the moose population is growing, but the elk are just occasional visitors.

My folks live over by the rest stop and had a big bull go through their property 2 years ago.  They also saw a mountain goat up the hill from them this year.  There is a facebook group for the area that posted a huge bull on the 1st green at Kahler Glen golf course a couple years ago.  There around and so cool to see.
