49 North Late Bull Moose
« on: November 27, 2020, 03:20:55 PM »
15 total days of hunting; saw a small bull around 30 inches on day 5 but passed. The next several days we only saw cows and a few cows with calves. On day 15 we saw 6 moose and with about 2hrs of daylight left we spotted a bull with the fog drifting in and out. I decided that he was a shooter and got set up with a good rest; put 2 in him with my 338 ultra mag he went about 10 yds and bedded down then tipped over. It was a fun hunt that took me 21 yrs to draw. Bull was 45.5 wide with some character around his bases. I hope the pics post as this is my first attempt.

That bull has good fronts, paddles and good tine length on all his points. Definitely a shooter and a great looking bull. Not only will you enjoy eating him but he will be awesome to look at for the rest of your life.

Nice work. That looks like the head of bear creak? I hunted that area during the early season.

Yes, that's the top of Blacktail Mountain Rd in the background. I had 3 different bulls on trailcam up there.
