Just curious, do you take most of your buck photos during the rut? And if so, is that because it’s easier (being a relative term of course!) to locate them?

IMOP:
I personally think any buck with a summer fed body and love pumped neck is the coolest way  to observe them...

Yes as it’s the only real chance to see them.  They’ve migrated in, or they are active during daylight hours, they are distracted, etc.  if I was a millionaire and wasn’t working then I could extend my time.  It’s also when they are the most fun anyways.  All a deer has to do is eat, sleep, stay alive.  Not much action in that.
