mk8, be careful with the blanch times on veggies, especially cauliflower.  The chamber sealer can smash them into a single mass of cauliflower mush.  I partially freeze veggies on cookie sheets before sealing, that helps as well.

Roger NRA, I will do that.  Used to do that the old way also.  As for "smashing" stuff, yes it will do that.  I've been having fun, sometimes with buddies over it's beer games and lets see/bet on how much it will smash this?...   Hot dog buns are pretty awesome!!!

I did that once inadvertently with some very soft and fluffy dinner rolls that I wanted to freeze.  I forgot to turn the vacuum setting off, so it proceeded to suck all of the air out of the bag, as well as out of the dinner rolls.  I couldn't stop laughing at the results......cheap entertainment.

Where have you guys found the cheaper chamber sealer bags>  We recently got the Costco chamber sealer but haven't played with it much but I know I need to buy some bulk quality bags.
Thanks

I also bought the LEM sealer from Costco. Just received the 250 count pre cut 8x10 bags, $45, $58.51 after shipping and tax. Haven't had a chance to use any yet. I don't see anywhere what the thickness is. Take that back, thickness is 3.15mm.

I got mine from vacuum sealers unlimited./  I got a couple different sizes, 4mm (they have 3, 4 & 5mm) in a case of 1000 bags.  Also got one that had three sizes and a count of 250.

That's where I buy almost all my bags from.  They have free shipping now also on almost all their bags.  That's key as the cases can be quite heavy.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
