Limited again today.  I just used one jig because I was treading water in the float tube with easy current.  They are getting bigger!

My co worker just gave me some.
What is the best breading or what do you put on them before frying?

I prefer a 50/50 mix of cornmeal and rice flour.  Put them in and mix them a few times over the course of an hour and they'll get a light coating that turns out crispy.

On another note - just what, if any, public peers are currently open and catching?

This has been on my "I want to do that" list for about twenty years. My brother was a chef on the waterfront in Seattle for a long time and I remember seeing the guys all doing it when we came out one night. Looks like fun and I love squid. Good luck folks. Maybe you'll see me out there on of these years

10lbs or 5 quarts. Whichever comes first. Got my limit the other night. If anyone needs jigs I've got them now. I've got quite a few. Amount always changing. But can always load up on more. $5 for unweighted. Or $6 weighted. In Spanaway area.

Up north in Seattle area seems to be solid right now. South seems pretty slow.

Furthest south I've fished is Les Davis. Very slow. See one here and there pulled up but most are just giving up nights I've been there.

That would be good too. I'd be in a boat.

They catch them in Port Angeles in late summer/fall.  I haven’t heard anything recently.

The buoy PA in the rotary is good.  I've heard of some off the city pier before, along with shrimp.

Sounds like Seattle area is going strong from reports this week. Lots of limits to be had.
