Great stuff!! Amazing how much that 300 lb halibut dwarfs a 200 lb halibut!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Here's my best mule deer from a size standpoint. My mountain goat isn't an exceptional trophy by size standards but the hunt itself will forever be one of my grandest adventures.

And my best bull not only in size but in the hunt itself. Regardless of whether I ever kill a bigger bull he will forever stand as my best.

Wow, Carl those are three amazing trophy's!
I would be hard pressed to pick one better then the other two.

Here's another. Sitka blacktail on Kodiak in 2021. Retrieving this buck got intense in a hurry. Short version is momma bear with 3 cubs at 10 yards :yike:

I haven't killed any real giant animals yet...one of these days maybe...but I've had a lot of fun and made a lot of crazy memories stumbling my way through this stuff. I didn't have anything to add to this thread in 2007 except a handful of dink mule deer.
This are my "best" I guess.
Merriams from NE WA, Mule deer buck from SE WA, whitetail from SE WA and my WA OIL billy from the Goat Rocks in 2017.
