just drive the canal bank between grandview and prosser and you'll see rockchucks all over, if you see them in a field go ahead and knock on some doors the farmers hate 'em

Back in the day when i lived in prosser i use to hunt chucks at a friends house.  cant remember his address but  it was on N McDonald road off of W King Tull.  If you turned off of king tull onto mcdonald and headed south his place was where the railroad tracks cross the road on the right hand side.  this was a long time ago like 10 years ago but it was a really sweet spot for chucks.  200yd shots all day with the occasional 300+ shot.  Let me know if it is still a good spot.  They use to hang out on a rock wall at the west end of his property.

Can someone post a photo of a rock chuck and one of a ground hog or prarie dog or what ever people are shooting?

I've seen about 50 of what I assume are rock chucks...but I'm not a hundred percent sure. The kind of look like a smaller, skinnier marmot, but have a long fuzzy tail.

Just curious

Started a job as a loader operator two weeks ago and the damn things are running everywhere all day. I almost ran over one with the 980 today. I keep forgetting to pack the 22 to work and have some fun when I get off. I would have shots out to 600 yds but we cant  use the big guns or the guy who owns the property next door (half a mile away) freaks out.

Ok so I know this amazing spot where I have killed hundreds of chucks. First go up palisades road take a left then a right turn back around go back out to the gihway because you went the wrong way turn left then go down by the river where they see antelope then after that take a hard right and hold it for aproximately 17.9843 seconds and that should put you facing the correct direction then get out of your car walk straight and get your climbing gear out because you will have to climp a rock wall a few hundred feet high after you get on top you will notice the river close by so you will have to pull your boat out of your back pocket throw it in the river and jump in scoot across the river but dont go too fast i heard there are man eating salmon down there once your across there should be a few thousand rock chucks about 300 miles in any direction. good luck  :bash:
