Tried out some Biscuits and Salmon Gravy. Better that I could have imagined. It was fantastic.

Normally, I say food is just a mere vessel for gravy. But, I don't know about this one...

All sounds good, wish i could eat salmon other than smoked.
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Love a late breakfast of pan fried salmon and eggs. Especially with a few fresh kokes.

Ya, I think a little cold smoke before scraping the carcass would be good.

Speaking of salmon for breakfast, I have a friend in Soldotna, Alaska who invented Salmon Bacon, for his granddaughter who can't eat normal bacon. If you ever get to Soldotna, check out the Tustemena Smokehouse and say hi to Fred.

Here is what I used. Everything done in weight. I usually use 2.2% salt in sausage and cured meat, but I was accounting for the salt in the bacon.

Sister and family have a place in Soldotna, she will be getting a message soon to secure me some of that!

Smoked salmon omelets are pretty darn good. 2 or 3 egg omelet, some flaked smoked salmon, dollop of sour cream and fresh grated parmesan cheese. Can also add some diced green onion in there too.
