5 year old daughter's first year duck hunting
« on: December 08, 2020, 09:41:39 AM »
Have had a blast taking my daughter (Payton - 5yo) out for her first "real" duck hunts this year.  Keeping her warm/out of the weather, full of doughnuts and hot coco has made for a few real enjoyable hunts.

This right here is what is the most important for anyone taking young kids out on adventures
Love the pics
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

One thing my kids have liked (in addition to the food and hot chocolate) is letting them bring their bb guns to shoot the decoys.  I put a few out around the spread that I don't care if they shoot and let them have it at.  It passes time while waiting for birds and they think it's great fun.
