Called in a bobcat (August)
« on: December 09, 2020, 07:21:39 PM »
I called this cat in while trying to hunt black bear.  Not in season and all I had was the 30-06 anyways.  Video of how close I got it to come in after taking the photo is below.

He was really wondering if he could take me on for that rabbit.  :chuckle: I dont have great camo or anything.  Just sitting on a stump in the open fumbling with my camera and call at the same time.  Not sure what it was seeing but I wish I knew so I could do it again.

Maybe it was really just a house cat..... :tung:

Rasbo made a post on facebook asking if Hunt-WA was down.  I figured I would check for him and missed the old days I guess. Good thing my password was saved.  LOL

Nice pictures   wish I had done as well as you with the camera.

I had a Bobcat walking at me last Saturday until he saw me around 30 yards. We stood there looking at each other for a while and I was thinking I wonder if they are legal to shoot at right now. Had a bow and a handgun, just no clue if it was still in season :chuckle:

I took a really poor video, if there is a next time will try still photos instead. Was fun to see one in the woods for the first time.
In God we trust, all others bring cash.

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Looks like you were under an intense "Cat Scan".
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.
