Turkeys within 20 yards
« on: April 19, 2009, 12:21:16 PM »
Teacherman and myself went out for a bit this morning and got in the middle of a few turkeys.  They where within 20 yards of us and no matter how hard we tried we couldn't make a decent tom out of those hens.  Nothing else appeared.  Oh well if we got them every time you would be saying "I'm going out and kill a turkey"  This way I can still hunt them. :P
I've slowed down enough in my old age to finally let the game catch up to me

That area around Elk and Chattaroy is a good turkey spot. Wish it was much closer. Good luck.
