First Muskrat
« on: December 11, 2020, 01:01:52 PM »
I took the trapper course in 2009 but this is the first year I decided to actually start trapping.  Put out a cage trap for nutria and a colony trap for muskrats.  Checked the traps this morning and caught this little beastie.  Short youtube video in comments below.

Probably.  I ate a nutria and it was delicious so I guess I have to try marsh rat.  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Nice job, Naithan. Did you ever go back and get that Bob you saw during bear season?

No.  They closed a big chunk of that area due to a fire and I never went back after it opened up.  Might be under snow by now.  I am thinking about calling for cats and dogs tomorrow or Sunday in a different area.
