Thanks for the heads up about adding a filter. I'd always been under the impression most all propane tanks are clean ? This might explain an older two burner stove I had failed and never knew why and just chocked it up to old age.  Just picked up two new Buddy heaters and don't want to have the same issue.

It’s not the tank, it’s the hose. Most hoses contain plasticisers in the rubber to keep them pliable. The high pressure of the propane in the hose pulls hose plasticisers out of the rubber. I use the hose from mr heater thst doesn’t contain plasticisers and don’t have a problem.
