Where to find ejector pin?
« on: December 24, 2020, 08:55:24 AM »
Good morning, my Remington 11-87 quit ejecting spent shells (kind of ruins the semi auto feature) after a few puzzling minutes i realized the little ejector pin is missing. I have done a small amount of looking and have not been able to find one. Does anyone have one, or know where I can get one. Or recommend a gunsmith in the greater Kitsap area that could help me out? Love the gun but pulling each spent shell out by hand really hinders my follow up opportunities  :chuckle:.  Thank you!

If he’s talking about the actual ejector, I think they were just some sort of protruding nub at the back of the barrel extension, it looks like a punch was driven through the outside of the barrel to create it. I did have an older 1100 barrel with one that looked like it had been replaced with a stud or something, so I would imagine it’s repairable, but probably need a smith to do the job.

in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

If it's just the pin, I made one for a Franchi from a .187 drill bit. Hope you have the spring and ejector.

Numrich Gun Parts is a good place for parts, #36 Extractor $19.25, #37 Extractor Plunger $9.00 out of stock and #38 extractor spring $7.50.

I need the "hook" that ejects the shell. I have no idea where it fell out, my daughter shot it the last few times out and had mentioned it cycles but stopped clearing the spent shell. I will give it a good look over but a gunsmith may well be the best option. I assume there is a pin that hold the extractor in place. Looking at Bownells I can find the extractor but it never mentions 11-87 in the description just the 870 and 1100, while it may be the same I want it RIGHT for the next user. Thank you guys!!

I broke 2 of those "hooks" on my Browning Gold 10 from shooting hot loads. First one I had a gunsmith do and the second I replaced myself. It was a $50. 00 part. at Brownells. Look at the schematic and get the part number .

If you have the parts it’s pretty simple to replace. Several videos on YouTube showing how. If I’m not mistaken, the extractor is the same for 870, 1100, and 1187.
