WDFW Spring Bear meeting over run by Antis
« on: January 09, 2021, 06:12:06 PM »
 Has anyone heard this?
According to one of the recent Meateater podcast... WDFW held a open discussion meeting via zoom to discuss spring bear areas and there was one actual Washington hunter in attendance and a crap load of Anti-hunters who were from out of state. It sound like a "thing" now for Anti-hunting groups to attend these zoom meetings to taking advantage of the Covid situation.

Not surprising. Tough for the working class of society to take work off for these things. Meanwhile environmental groups, flush with cash from the bleeding hearts of the concrete jungles, pay folks to attend.  You would think at least the hunting groups we donate to would have some representation there.

There has been a national blitz lately by environmental groups to ban/limit bear hunting any way they can. Doing everything they can to replace the human predator with 'natural' predators.

I attended the last zoom meeting about deer proposal .
It seem crapy and commission leans heavy on what WDFW recommend. It's like they don't know anything about hunting,so it's like the WDFW just spoon feed a new born what ever they tend to recommend.Im gonna try to attend more zoom meetings since I already downloaded the stupid app on my phone. But will say I'm not impressed by any means.

What is to bad is WDFW doesn't limit comments to residents of the state, but I guess that would make to much sense that it is no concern for out of staters.

That's what scares me about the zoom meetings.... the commission is relying on comments and opinions and the antis are always organized and funded.... doesn't take much to out number us with out of state groups.
