 well after 3 days in lewis county, got on a few birds down there. passed  on 4 jakes , got shot at luckily not hit, but my prettyboy got walloped by some a-hole. i got disgusted and came home to whatcom county. went out this morning and bagged a nice tom 10.5 beard 20lbs 1 inch spurs. after 4 different setups i got a hen fired up and he followed her in. i will haves pics later on. with my eastern down going to try for a merriams.      strut

who ever it was hot footed it out of there in a hurry, when i let out a beller. i even had a orange band on a tree 15 yds to my left. i started using those quite a fews years ago after being shot at by an amish hunter in pennsylvania

well im on the 3rd day of my trip over here in ferry county. had a couple close encounters so far.  anyone else score on any easterns yet ?  birds have been answering pretty well but still henned up  here where i at.
