advice for 25th 26th weekend?
« on: April 20, 2009, 04:14:33 PM »
I finally get to go chase some birds this weekend with my father. I will be heading out of Moses Lake. Since most of you have been out already and a lot have already shot their birds I was hoping a generous few might share with me. We usually get away from the roads and are not afraid of hiking.Typically I have gone around Chewelah but I am open to anything.

My brother scouted up there and found birds by Blue Creek. He said there was a lot of snow up there too.

Just talked to my mom, she lives right before blue creek just off 395 and they let acouple guys hunt the field by their house and they took a couple toms the first two days. Be up their this weekend clearing brush(not hunting) :( let you guys know what is around up there might be going for a drive up to deep creek past colville let you know what's up there as well

I was hunting just south of chewelah until the 22nd and the birds were not talking once they came off the roost. There were a lot of hens which made for some tough hunting. I finally did get my bird just west of spokane once the weather cooled off again. Good luck

I was hunting opening weekend at our property near addy and there was still snow, but not enough to detour you, and we are pretty high...worst case- you spend a little time driving around-no big deal...good luck!
Go hawks
