Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Where do all of you have these encounters with tweekers in the woods? I have never run into any. And would like to know what areas to avoid.

you shouldn't need a rifle for coyotes, unless your going small game...my opinion, not exp.

and snakes...you leave them alone, and they'll leave you alone...the worst your gonna find is an over gown, venomless gradner snake.

Maybe in lacey

I long ago got out of the practice of packing a pistol while hiking, campimg, etc. But ever since that father-son duo left that poor cross country skier for dead this past winter I am back to having it on my hip. This happened not far from where I live and they really tried to kill him, for his car keys. I've been out twice this spring and it's with me. Not worried about what's in the woods, just what's at the trailheads you know ?
Can't we all just get along?
