This is a big buck that I had hunted for two years before harvesting him. The first year he winded another hunter the third day of season, he then went into the timber and never was seen again until the following season. It took three days scouting to find him. I was able to take him opening morning shortly after daylight. The second buck is the next one I could find that year

Great deer for sure, WA deer?  And 92xj, there is always something special about killing a bear.  My bear this last spring just about killed me getting it out, but all worth it.  Great looking bear.  Love the kids smiles on those turkeys!!

A couple of nice trophies there
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

This was one of my first trophy caliber animals. There was 4 or 5 guys hunting the same bull. It took four days to get him in the crosshairs. Two hunters walked with in 200 yards of were he was bedded and he held tight. A hail storm blew in at 1:45 pm and that got him to get up out of a small timber patch and head for denser cover. I was able to make two shoots on him at 300 yards and he went 20 yards and was done

Dang mister you have taken some impressive critters across the board! How old were you when you were able to connect on this bull?... just wondering if there is still hope for me to fill out my trophy room  :chuckle:

I was 30 when I got that bull.  :IBCOOL:

I was really into elk hunting prior to killing that bull. I figured I can’t top that one, so I have started chasing many other species. Mule deer and bighorn sheep are my favorite challenge so far

Good gravy go4steelhd you have quite the collection. Keep posting em'! I'll have to take a picture of a whitetail rack I have but it was not my harvest. But it is my most prized piece that I own.
