6 MM Dasherand 6 MM ARC
« on: January 30, 2021, 06:53:35 PM »
I was watching Shooting USA yesterday a d they were showing the results of a rifle shoot.
They asked each shooter what caliber they were shooting.
Of the thirty something shooters, all but two were shooting the 6mm Dasher. The other two were shooting the 6mm ARC BR.

Anyone have experience with either of these?
Are they available in over the counter ammo?

I’ve been doing some research into the 6mm ARC, it seems like it’s primarily targeted toward the ar15 crowd as a long range target/varmint cartridge.

I think it would make an interesting rebarrel for my cz 527 in 7.62x39, same bolt face.  Roughly approximates a .250 savage, but with less wind drift.

in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

You will need to reload or custom ammo

I watched the same thing . Believe a couple were also shooting 6mm GT . Not sure what that is , but now I think I need a 6mm Dasher  :chuckle:

I was thinking the same thing,
But I am to lazy to start reloading again, and want to buy an AR upper that is good to go.
I guess I have a long wait ahead.

6 gt is basically right between a 6 dasher and a 6x47 lapua. Kind of a flop imo.

The br based chamberings are like the easy button for accuracy.
