Western Washington Target Shooting Areas
« on: February 03, 2021, 08:09:52 PM »
Hey all,

I've got a couple rifles I would like to dial in, but the range I was going to is closed for the season, and I can't really afford to join one of the big gun clubs around here.

Anyone know a good public land spot within an hour and a half drive of Seattle to do some target practice? Somewhere I could get out to 100-150 yards?

Much obliged.

The areas I go to shoot 100-200yds would be pretty tough to get to in the snow right now. I think capitol forest outside of Olympia has some places that might be snow free, or at least accessible in winter.

I'll agree with this, Tacoma Sportsman's Club is awesome.  Great range and nice people, been going there for years.

Be sure to wear a bullet proof vest while shooting there. Some very unsafe shooting practices have led me to never ever go there again.

Plan was to go a Mid-weekday morning at 9am. Figured I could avoid tacticools then

Should have added the link for Tacoma Sportsman's Club. Only 3 shooters on the public range this morning.
