The front of your scope is 44mm so you will probably need a medium height or high height scope rings.  Check out what's needed for the 30mm tube and order accordingly.

Thank you for your input, it's all helpful.

Griz, what rings are you using? I wasn't sure.

I'm looking at the Hawkins Long Range Hybrid, but am not sure that the 25 moa (Built in) is in my best interest.
I don't expect to be shooting more than 600 yards, so is it a disadvantage at moderate (50-300 yards) ranges?

As it stands, the Talley lightweights with the addition of a level vial ring is the way I'm leaning.
Per my measurements, I only need 0.50" from top of receiver to bottom of tube (30mm), this should put the scope fairly low and still have a little clearance.

I will also be ordering a replacement bottom metal and aluminum magazine.
The magazine gives me an extra 0.01" of COAL which may come in handy depending on the bullet.

Thanks again for your input,
Regards,
Rob.

I shot a Tikka T3 Lite 300WSM for years with the stock rings and a Burris FFII.
That cartridge out of a 6.5lb platform will wake you right up.
Never had to touch the mounts or scope turrets.
That said, I upgraded to a Nikon Monarch and mounted Warne Maxima mediums and feel a bit better about the mounting system.

My other Tikka, 7-08, has a DNZ Gamereaper and it is very solid and reliable.

I have set up three Tikka T3 rifles with Leupold mounts and scopes. No issues with any of them. a 300 WSM, a 7mm/08 and a 270 Win.

The Talley mounts look good too.

If you go Talley lightweights, even the lows set up higher than you’d think.  I have used lows with plenty of clearance on a 42mm objective.  I actually prefer Leupold dual dovetails and low rings on lighter guns chambered in magnum cartridges with heavier scopes (over 13oz).  Warne also makes their Maxima rings for the Tikka, which I would use lows as well.  I like my scope as low as possible.

I have a Tikka 7MM Superlight. I’m happy with my Warne Rail and Warne MT Rings. I have the low rings with my 42mm Razor.

NW Surveyer, if you look at my original post, there’s an attachment at bottom that shows the rings I have. Thanks

I’ve always used Leupold and they’ve been rock solid. .338 win mag and I haven’t needed to adjust it in 25 years

I own 3 tikkas and have Talley lightweights on all of them. Never an issue with any of them. Would highly recommend.
