Colorado 2021

I know it’s that time of year because these are the only couple of months that I get PMs.... :chuckle:

Historically late dates this year...what are your plans?

I am 90% sure that I will attempt to relocate this guy from last year.   I think he’s young and the kind of deer that could blow up.  However, I do have the points to get into a decent 2nd or 3rd season hunt.  Hmmmm?

Going to try and cash in 11 points on a 3rd season hunt. Hope it works out.
That buck looks awesome.

CO is a tough call this year. Lots of big deer could die on 2nd season this year if the weather hits. Especially with the later muzz dates some deer might slip through the cracks in the early season. Of course this is all speculation  :chuckle: how many points are you sitting on? I'm not sure points even equate to better quality these days, if you have a line on a buck with that potential it'd be hard not to go look for him! I say flip a coin  :chuckle: I had every intention of doing a 2nd season this year but that went down the drain with the whole preggo wife thing

You are spot on regarding 2nd season this year in some of the superior genetic areas!  Could be one for the ages!

With 15 points, I may go 2nd season myself!

It is going to be very interesting to see how the draw goes...point leap (not creep) might be the more appropriate terminology!

Have 7 pts this year and I do think many units I could normally draw I won’t be able to this year. Will wait to cash them in in a year or two and hunt WY this year instead with 7 pts and hopefully elk and antelope as well.

I’m in with 9 this year. With point who knows what, nothing is remotely guaranteed but you gotta play to win. Good luck to you all

I got 1 point I’m hoping to draw a second rifle hunt, but who knows how the draw will creep. Everyone  is assuming major point creep this year, but I don’t  think it won’t be as bad on 2nd rifle hunts. I keep looking at muzzy hunts thinking they will be overlooked  :dunno:. All the options in Colorado always make for an exciting application to submit!

Here’s another one that should still be kicking around.  I hope to relocate him as well.

Wow... that's a great buck!  I burned my points   a couple of years ago and will probably regret it, but I'll just collect points for another year and am going to skip Colorado this year... these date changes are going to mix things up.

I have 14 points. I wish I had 7, or....24. Theres realistically only a couple of third season hunts I could possibly draw without "wasting" a load of points.
