You really need to stop putting your trust in doctors. All they care about is not doing anything that will get them sued.

Yep, that is all they care about.

I suppose I should have said it's all that some doctors care about. The ones who continue to give bad advice and put their patients on unnecessary medications which only cause their health to get worse.

You really need to stop putting your trust in doctors....and get the book by Dr. Ken Berry

The irony in this statement is mind blowing.

Well, I don't care how you guys want to eat. Just trying to help. Go ahead and keep eating your veggies, and I'll eat meat. As Dr. Berry calls it: "the proper human diet."

I dont care how anyone else eats either.  I am pro doctors though as I had a few save my life.
I also don't follow this thread, just happened to accidentally open it from the recent topics section, read your post and had a good laugh.
I eat meat, more than most, and also eat a balanced diet and I don't need the internet to tell me how to do it.

Carry on with the Keto chat

I took a few pictures of pages in Shawn Baker's book, The Carnivore Diet. Hopefully it's readable.

Yeah, doctors are great when it comes to things like a broken leg, but the majority know very little about proper nutrition.

And you believe proper nutrition includes zero plant matter? Do you think that's how early humans ate?

High cholesterol is directly linked to heart disease and stroke. I strongly recommend not saying it doesn't matter or is actually good for you.

But cholesterol numbers by themselves do not mean you need statins, especially on this diet. If the cholesterol particles in your bloodstream are not big enough to accumulate or disrupt lung or heart function, you don't need statins. Doctors have been trained incorrectly to rely on raw numbers without doing more testing to confirm the need of statins. This is a combination of the  the lack of keeping up with available new information and the influence of "science" from the pharmaceutical companies. Just because "it's always been done that way", doesn't mean it's current or relevant.

Personally, I eat a ton of leafy greens, and green and white vegetables

Pretty crazy that we are flying drones on Mars and on the verge of creating true A.I. yet we still can’t figure out which food is actually good for us and what isn’t

Any conflict of interest that this guy is also the CEO of a company that charges $150/year membership to pedal a meat based diet?

Early humans sure didn't eat wheat and corn. Fruits and vegetables are actually not necessary in the human diet. I know, hard to believe since they've been telling us to eat them for decades. But remember, they also told us butter was bad and margarine was good!
