Left my truck box unlocked and got my Stihl lifted  :bash:

I was gifted a 670 after that happened, I really like it. It is a bit heavy but it's been a great saw so far.

Them older jonsereds are great saws. I’ve got a 670 that my uncle did some work to that impressed me.

Stihl, MS461, with a 32" Stihl Light bar on it, is what I use for wood cutting and general use around my place. My best friend, who has been an Gypo logger all his life built it for me a couple years ago. Absolutely love it!

I love chainsaws. My primary cutters are an ms 210 with a modded muffler and carb. And a 044 with a big bore kit and ms 460 carb.

I have a question for the saw experts, I apologize if this has already been addressed somewhere. What is your preferred method of sharpening your chain?

I recently picked up a chain grinder.  I love it and it’s so much faster.  I still enjoy filing in the field but the grinder is great and much faster for me.

I have a 362c I love it but the other day it just stopped suddenly. Went to check the spark plug wire and the whole plug came out with the wire, must have loosened up while running and then ate the threads up. Anyone had this happen? I bought it new a few years ago. I’m frustrated I let it happen

Call em in-
It really depends on what job I'm doing.
When I'm dumping timber, I like a chisel grind. It cuts incredibly fast and is very durable in its ability to keep a good fast working edge. Falling timber, I want all the speed I can get. Same thing for bucking, especially old growth like what I work in.

Buuut, a round file does give you smoothness, provided you know how to file. It also performs better in dirty, muddy or rock shot wood. And it's also easier to correct and fix if you bugger the tooth up. For firewood,  a man is better off with a round file.
3/8's- .404? - seems like three eighths wanders a little bit in the big wood. .404 last long, tough, fat kerf, easier to maintain.  3/8's, faster.

For limbing and general firewood cutting,  most folks will benefit from full compliment chains. So much smoother, less vibration and cleans the kerf really nicely.

Biggest pet peeve -  Too many people take too much off the  drags too soon, too often,  too hard ect.

Take it easy on those drags!!!(rakers)
The way that you wander, is the way that you choose
The day that you tarry, is the day that you lose

I just picked up one of these and it works pretty well.
