Darin Fuson in the Spokane area is great! he communicates well, does top notch work, and is fairly priced.
For Birds I used Seth Lane in Finley. Fantastic quick work and excellently priced

BINGO!!!!!  Darin is an Outstanding Taxidermist and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet!!!!

Agreed. Have been going to Darin for 7 years. Never had a problem. Super kind and relaxed experience. His prices have increased slightly but still quite reasonable.

Yes Sir!  He did my WY buck.  Didn't realize he was advertising.  I will have time and travel logistics if I get a bear.  "Any good recommendations between NE and SW?"   But keep them coming for all the bear hunters.

If it's the same Charlie that used to be on here, hopefully he gets caught up before he takes on more work. I have animals with him going back as far as 2015...  :yike:

He is an avid hunter and a good guy, just seems to have gotten side tracked from his business.

For a hair on tan....ask your taxidermist to flesh your hide, turn the earls paws, etc and salt it.  Pay for his / her time and then ship it yourself to the tannery.  You will save a ton of money and get a faster return.  My taxidermist stop doing hair on tans because it was not cost effective for him to ship off single hides.  If he waited for a full shipment of hides, his customers would complain.  If he charged what needed to be charged to make a profit, his customers would complain.  Now he just preps the hides and gives them to the customer to ship.  In my opinion, it really was a good move.  It saves him time and heartache and I get a very nice product in a timely manner.

I tried doing this, asked a taxi that is popular here, he wanted 750.00 just to prep the hide for me, f n crazy!

Yeah, that is a ridiculous price for sure.  I can't imagine it would take more than a half a day to prep the hide and 50 bucks worth of salt (max)....but I'm no taxidermist.  I know that actual tan runs between 75-200 dollars depending on size and how you want it tanned.   I will have to ask my taxidermist....but I'm pretty sure he charges by the hour.   He is in East Wenatchee and does fine work.

:yeah:    Joel seems like a great taxi his work is always posted on here and looks outstanding, He answers the phone when you call him with questions. I'll be trying to take my next animal to him. But i hunt over east in warm weather it's hard to do.  My last buck is at Blue creek taxi in addy, Deney seems like a great guy as well and his work looks great too he is on FB  and came with several recommendations. There is another guy that lives in Curlew that i've been hearing alot about as well he has won many awards for his work and was very helpful with me. PM me if you want his # it's down in my hunting pack i'd have to find it or maybe send Tracker0721 a PM he may know him.
}---->$  Always on the money with the Mathews DLD/V3X
