I can’t wait. I’m going to try to get my wife and son on the local birds around our property and save my tags so I have something to keep things exciting on slow days looking for my spring bear.

Heard my First gobble this morning in Central Klickitat.  Think there's  lots of birds this year.  Saw a flock of at least 80 late fall.

While I have 40+ birds in the pasture every day.  I wasn't sure just exactly what KF was referring to.  I was wondering if he had something that he wanted to share 🤔

Oops  my bad.

Dang Grass Clippers.
Looking like a herd of hens. But there has to be a Tom or two hanging out.

Had 4 yard goats herd these offenders down the driveway yesterday after the dawg saw the goats.

I must have weird turkeys around here. They Strut and Gobble year round here. I even have hens that fan out and do a sort of gobble.  Must be in the feed.
Thanks for all for your past support...We officially pulled the plug and have retired from the Biz. Still dabble a little in real estate.

. I was kinda thinking the same thing. Birds around me fan out and gobble pretty much all year also. I think it's on more when I start seeing the smaller flocks with just a tom or two and several hens.  I'm mostly still seeing the bigger winter flocks in the usual wintering areas. Still seeing the Toms mostly running together away from the big hen flocks.

Yup

Still early and they're still flocked up in big hen groups, but the toms have moved in and I'm seeing strutting activity.

It's not "on like donkey kong", but its beginning!
