Cinnamon Bear!!!
« on: April 21, 2009, 09:19:13 PM »
Well I packed my D40 and gear in 3 days looking for the BIG Blackie. I did not see him. But the day I don't take it. I am sitting there glassing for Turkeys and see the Cinnamon Bear!!!  :bash: Well I have a point and shoot in my pack so I pull it and and take pics and decide to watch the Bear. Next thing I know he starts moving and he is on a STEEP hillside. He covers 300 yards in the blink of an eye. He is strait across the canyon from me and turns and is coming strait at me!!! The last pic he is 100 yards across the canyon and moving towards the bottom OUT OF MY SIGHT!!! Time to go I figure if he keeps coming he will be in my lap!!!   :yike:

Nice pics, too bad you didn't have a spring bear tag.

He just wanted a cuddle.   Probably smelled the snickers bar you had in your back pocket. :)

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I saw a nice blond one up near Mt. Baker. At first I thought is was a grizzly because of its color. I didn't have a camera with me but it has been spotted again since I had seen it. Maybe I'll get a pic this weekend.
