I saw 2 game wardens up on charmack canyon sat.   Lots of quads up there also. somebody probably got cited for something.  Turkey hunters said nice weather but no birds!!!

I've had roosted birds gooble to my bugling in the fall up around Carroll Flat...(around 1990).  I grew up hunting over there and never saw or heard a turkey until that evening.

I was really tempted to pull in and see who the corporate driving the black dodge was, but I decided to leave it alone. I do know of two other guys that sneak in there every year and find tons of sheds but there time will come and they will get caught.

quads have no buisness up in the woods. they are lazy people that are greedy and dont really care about anything else execpt how many antlers they find. they cheat they still and they cause un nessasary stress on the animals. i think this a big proplem, just like poaching!

if they are, they are breaking the law. it's not fair or unfair. they are trespassing whether they are on horses, quads, or on foot. its illegal. there are so many other places to look for sheds, i can't understand the appeal of this zoo.

Yakima Herald states 6 for walk in, 8 for motorized.   (I assume horse is 6)

Also a nice article about the cameras they put in there to nab thieves.  Coupel nice quad shots. LOL and two locals walking by the game cams. :chuckle:

Just curious if the west side of Hoover canyon in Oak creek is open to the public or is it also part of the wintering area?

No its more like 70-80 percent of the sheds are already picked up by the time the honest guys get in there. I know of two different guys that sneak in there every year and find 20-30 sheds each year in there. (some day they will get caught, and I'm gonna celebrate when they do).
