I think they are going backwards this year in count. Maybe trying to throw people off to hurry and buy. Place has gone downhill. My buddy bought first morning right away and got number 1204

Are they still saying no does and 2pt are larger for deer?...I stopped buying the permit, but am wondering if they are still imposing these rules, even for youth?

Yes, I understand why...the deer numbers are way down, but I shake my head at the fact that it is over run with elk and yet they don't open it up for more elk harvest.

Same thing with no Doe harvest I’m not sure on youth special permits or not. It’s insane how the deer numbers have dropped since I started buying that pass probably 6-7 years ago. I didn’t buy last year. They must have counted back I just got mine in the mail number like 673 or something

I think you're right on going backwards, I bought mine the first morning and got 1060 then bought my wife's and she got a lower number.
Shut up and Hunt!

Yeah talked to a couple guys this morning and that seems to be how the numbering is going  :dunno: been a long time since I hunted up there. Still gonna hunt eastern washington as primary location but disappointed to hear it sounds like its slim pickings up there

The wife and I used to predator hunt all winter in there, always managed to kill coyotes and a couple bobcat, we only bought the pass for predator hunting. The changes a couple years ago just made it to expensive. There are alot of predators and it did seem like we had it to ourselves. Kind of miss it but not giving Hancock anymore money to manage their predators.

Just purchased my pass. Have not been in there since they went to the new purchase system. Do they mail out a packet with a window tag and gate key still?

Wow sold out?! I’m hoping it’s from one family buying 2 passes. Would hate for a cluster f*** up there now crowds everywhere. I use to like it because it wasn’t crowded all the time.

1000 passes this year, apparently 200 more than last year due to increased interest if remember correctly. Families need only one pass (unless kids over 18). All passes sold out within 2 days. It's 1000 passes (=1000 cars) and say 1-3 people in each car, so roughly 2000 people sharing that place. Plus the non-motorized traffic ...

It’s not families spouses need their own permits I thought now

Lots of bad info, still the same, everyone over 18 needs a pass. Only 1,200 given out, can’t imagine they are sold out, they haven’t sold out in years!!

No reason too unless you like predator hunting and hauling wet firewood through a clear cut

No no I use the secret firewood cutting areas that they leave off the map. The ones where they stack the logs like they are ready for transport. You have to work fast though.

@Duckslayer89 - it's definitely families as I bought one (minus kids over 18). Info I provided was directly from their website on the day they released the passes. Not sure about your buddy's pass - mine is 4 digits starting with 8 so go figure your buddy's number starting with 1 :). If it's worth it or not? Will know by the general season ...

You can bring kids but not spouses unless they changed it back this year. I’ll look into the rules and post

Read line number one on the rules. Use for single adult and dependent children 17 and under. It’s dumb, but spouse needs her own permit

The pass number and purchase number are to different things. Your purchase number will be 1200 down to 1. Your purchase number is how they keep tractor of how many are sold. Pass number is separate.

Oh and your wife definitely need her own pass.

Illiteracy is a curse, I'll learn to read better, sorry guys for the confusion :) I've been talking about Campbell Global and Snoqualmie forest, Hancock used to own it years back. I was like, what on earth are these guys talking about; reminds me of this joke:

Wife calls her husband driving to work and says, "Honey be careful. There's a maniac driving on the wrong side of the road on the highway." He responds, "One maniac? There are hundreds of them."

Have a nice weekend all  :)
