My dad and I got a few to play the game last week. Both mature Toms, about 2.5 years old by my guess. We struggled to get the birds talking or coming to our calls. We heard that the opening weekend was hit pretty hard by hunters and by the time we got out hunting they were all a bit call shy. Still, we got the first one to come in to our decoys set up by their roost tree. The second one came to our calls at mid-day, once his hens had left him.

Dad's bird was full of COB from a nearby farm. Should eat good.

Mine is the first Tom I have tagged with a double beard, although you cannot see that in the picture. One beard is 9in long, the second was only about 2in long.

My wife got her central Washington turkey on opening day. I set up the decoys so it looked like the Tom was breeding the hen. called him in to 15 yards before she put him down.
And I called mine in last weekend to the same set up. But had three toms come in at once bunched up and could only get a shot at one when the other two started to attack my Tom decoy

Holy Cow!  I don't know which is better... the birds or your camera!  Nice pic

My first turkeys! It was quite a learning curve with lots of blown opportunities, but I was able to double on these birds yesterday.

Got one this morning. Pretty awesome hunt in NE WA.  8” beard.
