Son shot a great bird!
« on: April 03, 2021, 08:53:49 PM »
My 9 year old got his second Tom today. Birds were tough to find on public land, as most of them are still grouped up on private. He stuck it out and we found one that wanted to play after probably 100 miles on the truck and 5 miles on the boots.

It's probably the picture size. Crop it or screen shot it and post the screen shot. It's less resolution

Good job!  What county was that taken in?  The coloration looks a little different to me., but I'm no expert.

That is a Steven's County bird. We have shot a few that have that coloration.

Congratulations.

Fantastic!   Great to see the kids out there connecting with toms! :)

I can never get out during turkey season, so I have to enjoy it vicariously through posts like this.

That is a great bird but an even greater smile.

Thanks for posting.

That's the good stuff.  Thanks for sharing.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
