I drew deer with 1 point. I have slightly mixed feelings, as I'm not sure I'll be able to find primers for a muzzle loader with the shortage. Oh well, at least I have a while to try to find some primers before  the deadline to purchase the tag. :dunno:

Hit me up if you need. I've got a good number of 209 primers assuming that's what you want. Don't mind sharing enough to get you out there.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I drew elk with 4.  Used up my luck!

I actually drew deer too.

So on this day I drew my MT big game combo plus these.  Blessed!

Well it took me nine years to draw the multi season elk tag last year so I guess I’m not surprised I did not draw it this year. But I sure hope I can buy a leftover multi season deer tag. It will be the first time I don’t have one in the last four years and I have sure got used to enjoying the long season. But at least Montana came through with deer tags for my group

What you just said is impossible. You said you started putting in for them the same year. How could you have 5 elk and 2 deer pts? Especially since later you mention this is your first time drawing one?

Deer reset to 0 but said I used 2 in the drawing. Elk says I used 5 in the drawing. Was in both solo. This states point system is all messed up.

now you’ll spend 180 and draw a big bull tag. Wdfw is good for that one.

NOT SELECTED for either. 5 points for elk, and this is the first year in 4 straight years I didn’t draw deer. Oh well, now for other special hunt applications ......... lol

I did that one year, it is amazing the Elk that will walk around 80-100 yards from you when you do this.
Then rifle season they were gone.  :chuckle:
