Blazer V.S Quick spins veins
« on: April 22, 2009, 04:42:50 PM »
I'm shooting blazer 2inch and I'm thinking of trying quick spins I was wondering if they are worth the extra cash? and do they really shrink your groups as they say.

IMO If blazers work for you don't change, QS do what they say but if it ain't broke don't fix it. QS have more drag and weigh more, they also really seem to fall off at longer ranges because of it. I used the QS hunters last year and were happy with the results except the trajectory was not as flat. Going to try something different this year.
Shut up and Hunt!

bolth are good but the QS do hit lower down range..I shoot FOB's now but just try them all and see what groups the best for you....now is the time to do all your testing...Sept is coming fast.

The one time I saw some quick spins get shot.  I thought they were loud.  They flew good though.  I'm very happy with the blazers I've been shooting.  If what you have is working.  I wouldn't change it.

The QS really tightened up my broadheads, but I found as everyone said, a little noisy and slower.

Try a slight helical or offset when you fletch your blazers.  It does the same thing as the QS without the noise.

I used Quick Spins and changed to Blazers a couple years ago. The Quick Spins are accurate. No dought!!! They are more exspensive. They do drop more at exstended ranges. They are made of a softer material. Blazers are tougher than Quick Spins. They are less exspensive. Are they less accurate? I can't say. They are both accurate!!! The Bohning Co. recommends that the Blazers be fletched helical or a 2 to 3 degree offset. I fletch mine with a 3 degree offset. And I am very happy with the Blazers.
