The trainers I have contacted all want to keep the dog, I would like to train and then bring my dog home afterwards.

Usually don't get to day train until you are an established client. Day training doesn't generally produce results and when people try it they end up complaining about daily rates and not getting much out of it. The biggest problem is that day trainers show up and usually take far more time than the people who are paying for training every day so, the trainer ends up with a bunch of full time clients mad they aren't getting the time.

Its a lose / Lose situation for professionals.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
