So your asking for our little Honey holes right........ :chuckle:

I know no tellum creek holds a good number of 35 inch mulies, and there is a world record typical up on the Pass ......somewhere.....I'm sure of it. You'll just have to find it  like everyone else. :chuckle:

Kinda like how you asked Joe for turn by turn directions to another honey hole..... Scallywag ring a bell?   :chuckle:

Well, maybe we can car pool over there? Two smart-asses in one truck for 6.5hrs could be fun.

Why do people keep asking what special hunts to apply for when they have the multi-season permit ???

I don't get it. Nothing changes if you have the multi-season permit. I mean, the most desirable special permit hunts are good hunts whether or not you have the multi-season permit. In fact, if I had paid $165 for the chance to hunt early archery, early muzzleloader, rifle, then late muzzleloader and/or archery seasons, I would be less inclined to want to draw a special permit hunt.

Why waste your points? You will then want to devote your time to the special permit hunt and nothing else. And your $165 will have gone to waste. Oh well, if you don't mind donating money to the WDFW, it went to a good cause. So go ahead and do it, I just personally don't have money to throw away like that.

With a multi permit you can apply for the best modern permit, the best muzzy and the best archery, of course you can only draw one but it gives you better odds of drawing one of the better hunts.

I guess I could see that if you normally only apply for rifle permits, and now you can apply for archery which are generally easier to draw. Muzzleloader hunts many times aren't any easier to draw than the rifle hunts. Still I don't get why the multi-season permit holders think they all of a sudden need to apply for different units than they normally would ???

Its really quite simple Bobcat, take Entiat for example. If you only have a modern tag and want to hunt that unit you are limited to one hunt. If you have the multi you can apply for that unit in a couple different permits.

I understand that. I just think that if I had the multi-season permit, I would hunt the same unit or units that I'm already familiar with, rather than switching to a new one. What is it about the multi-season permit that makes people want to hunt new areas?

because one can hunt different areas with different weapons with better odds of drawing say, a muzzleloader tag, than if you are always putting in for modern permits.

i can see both sides of this discussion. i have the  m/s tag and have decided to put in for only the best of the best(what i've decided are) assuming i won't get drawn but if i do i should have a hell of a hunt....however....i have lots of options as far as hunting already with the m/s permit. without tons of free time available to me to hunt, i can see why people wouldn't put in for permits too.

OK, I would apply for Chiwawa and Slide Ridge modern firearm hunts, and Entiat and Chiwawa archery permits.
